It is a balmy 70 degrees outside. Something about warm weather and clean air always awakens the senses, brightens the disposition, and prepares the mind for new possibilities. Perhaps this spring will be a good opportunity for new beginnings.

I'm leaving for San Diego tomorrow. (LOL, not permanently!)

In the two years that I've been here, this will be my first opportunity travelling for my current employer. Unfortunately it's just a quick trip, but I have the opportunity to see some beloved Southern California palm trees, the ocean, and most importantly, catch up with some good college friends over dinner. Moments like this are a constant reminder that old friends are dear friends and true friendships are very difficult to cultivate and maintain. It will be good to get some SoCal air as I think the East Coast air has depleted my supply of "laid-back-ness" that I had built up on my last SoCal stint.
